LINK, the UK cash machine network has reported that the value of LINK cash withdrawals for the first eleven days of December has risen by 6.6% to £3,992 million (£4 billion) when compared to the same period last year.
The busiest minute during this period was at 13.09 on Friday 9 December when LINK processed 17,700 transactions.
John Howells, LINK CEO commented, “After a big surge at the beginning of the month the figures for this weekend have shown more measured growth and it will be critical to see how this develops over next weekend, the last shopping weekend before Christmas.”
