LINK is pleased to announce that Mary Buffee has taken up the new role of Head of Consumer Affairs at the LINK Scheme from 22 October.

In her new role Ms. Buffee will look at new ways to improve financial inclusion in the ATM marketplace and will be working closely with the LINK Consumer Council, and consumer organisations.

Commenting on her new role, Ms. Buffee said:  “I am excited at the opportunity to work on issues so close to everyone’s heart. ATMs play a pivotal role in the UK’s economy, and it is important that they serve the needs of the consumer. I am looking forward to making sure that the UK’s network of ATMs meet the highest standards and is fit for future needs.”

John Howells, LINK CEO added: “I am delighted to welcome Mary as LINK’s new Head of Consumer Affairs.  Mary’s role is to further drive our work in providing UK consumers with excellent universal access to cash.”

Ms. Buffee has experience in the ATM industry, having previously sat on the LINK Consumer Council and the Network Members Council in her capacity as Head of ATM Strategy & Business Development at Lloyds Banking Group. She also has performed a number of consumer led roles within financial services including customer proposition development, customer experience and retention.
