ATMOS Delivers ATM Card Processing Services
to Bradford & Bingley plc
ATMOS, the UK's largest provider of outsourced transaction
management services for financial institutions and independent
ATM deployers, has successfully delivered a full ATM card
processing solution to Bradford & Bingley plc. ATMOS
now provides Bradford & Bingley with card issuing and
management services as well as authorisation, replacing its
in-house systems.

The implementation of this full card issuing and management
service marks a significant expansion of the outsourcing
product portfolio that ATMOS can offer", said Peter
Flynn, ATMOS General Manager. "The service is available
to all financial institutions wanting to provide card facilities
to their customers."
Following an extensive planning and implementation schedule,
ATMOS was able to execute a seamless switchover to Bradford & Bingley
from its previous service provider. The transfer was successfully
completed in late October when the service went live. The
contract covers a cardholder base of 225,000 cards and also
includes a 24/7, (365 days a year) ‘hot card' helpdesk
service, handling calls from customers whose cards have been
lost or stolen.
Bradford & Bingley’s Project Manager, Neil Watson
commented, “ATMOS delivered a comprehensive bespoke
authorisation and card management system for us on time and
to specification. ATMOS was selected because of its ability
to meet our very specific requirements, including card & PIN
processing, on/off host authorisation and a round-the-clock
helpdesk facility.”
