LINK the UK's cash machine network announces that a new service to enable customers to make charity donations at UK cash machines has gone live with Royal Bank of Scotland as the first participant.
Cardholders using LINK cards from a range of participating banks and building societies can make donations to a range of charites, including the following, at all Royal Bank of Scotland, Nat West and Ulster Bank cash machines.
Other ATM operators will be joining during 2012.
The new service will be simple to use. Customers will simply be given the option on screen to make a donation. The minimum donation value is £1 while the maximum value will depend on the limit set by the customer’s bank but will normally be between £150 and £500.
There is no commission on these donations, no ATM provider nor LINK will charge any commission for these donations, in every case the full value will be paid to the charity.
