Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Statement

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Statement

Link Scheme Holdings Ltd (LSHL) believes Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is about understanding the business' impact in society and how this impact can be applied in a positive and responsible way. LSHL’S CSR statement sets out how its behaviours and practices are demonstrated in the way it engages with the environment, employees, the community, and Third Parties.

For many years LSHL has had initiatives and practices in place that are consistent with the statements below, but these have previously not been formally defined in a CSR statement.

LSHL values the Environment

LSHL has committed to ensure that it reduces its direct environmental impact and continues to improve its environmental performance by actively managing its waste, emissions, and consumption of natural resources through its policies and operating methods and it encourages its stakeholders to do the same.

LSHL values its Employees

LSHL is an inclusive organisation committed to fairness, equality of opportunity and diversity in all its employment practices, policies, and procedures. LSHL is committed to ensuring it has a healthy and educated workforce whose views are listened to and respected. LSHL nurtures ambition and ensures that all employees are able to develop relevant skills and knowledge to enrich their contribution and carve their own career path.

LSHL has been accredited as a Living Wage employer. The Real Living Wage is an amount that exceeds the statutory National Living Wage. Achieving accreditation as a Living Wage employer is recognition that LSHL is committed to paying employees a wage that meets the cost of living.

LSHL’s commitment to the Real Living Wage is a reflection of its commitment to fair pay and recognising the value of its employees.

LSHL values Community

LSHL has committed to build mutually supportive relationships with the wider community including national and local concerns. A number of LSHL’s key initiatives ensure that community, the consumer, and inclusion are at the heart of what LSHL does. Alongside this, LSHL actively supports local business and charities in the community.

LSHL values its Third Parties

LSHL’s third parties play a vital role in the delivery of LSHL’s services. LSHL has committed to ensure that its third parties have good business ethics and meet the standards LSHL holds in high esteem. LSHL aims to develop relationships built on shared trust and communal responsibility.

Through LSHL’s Living Wage accreditation LSHL is committed to ensuring that any third parties it works with must also be committed to paying their employees at least the Living Wage. LSHL believes that paying the Real Living Wage is the right thing to do and more broadly reflects its advocacy for consumers by supporting a campaign that makes a real difference to people’s lives.

LSHL’s CSR Statement in practice - Some Examples

The landlords of LSHL’s offices in Yorkshire are committed to development projects that build and improve communities.

A supportive culture is actively promoted at LSHL in its behaviours and policies. Remote, part-time, and flexible working are supported, and the benefits and rewards encourage development, work life balance and employee well-being.

The LINK Consumer Council and the Financial Inclusion Programme were established in 2006 putting the consumer at the heart of everything LSHL does and helping to sustain communities.

Each year, employees are invited to vote for a charity to support throughout the year. LSHL has introduced volunteer days for all employees. These may be spent supporting LSHL’s chosen charity or another charity meaningful to them. In addition, funds are raised throughout the year for the chosen and other charities through various events and supporting employees in their own fundraising activities.
