Our Assessments
On this page we publish the results of all the cash access assessments we carry out, along with any recommendations for new cash services.
Since 18th September 2024, when new rules came in to protect cash access, we complete assessments when a bank branch closes or when people in the community ask us to.

We also assessed access to cash needs between 2022 and September 2024. All our outcomes and recommendations made can be accessed here.
Independent reviews of our decisions are sometimes carried out, and we publish those on the Independent Assessor’s website.
New services should open within 12 weeks of our recommendation if none exist already. Branches will stay open until the new service is ready, so some closure dates may change.
Some Designated Firms work with Cash Access UK to set up and run the new services we recommend. You can see updates on Banking Hubs, Deposit Services, and other new facilities on the Cash Access UK website.
